Well it's been almost six years since I've had one anywhere near this small, but a few days ago I got a new baby leopard gecko fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201…
I decided to call it Julian because I figure I won't know what it is for a few more months :T
We got him home three days ago, set up a separate tank in my room for him, gave him water and a hidey spot and waited for him to get used to things.
One thing I've noticed that I didn't see with the others is he's a lot more scared like, I guess. Oops, I'm stuck on calling it a he xD
Anyway, I've read about putting your hand in the cage to have him get used to it, but every time I do this, he goes all aggressive and bites me :[
I mean I guess it's normal, cause he's not used to being handled and whatnot, but I didn't plan on actually holding him til he was a bit bigger anyway.
I fed him some small meal worms today, I was cruel and forced him out of his hiding spot, then I dropped one in front of him to see if he'd go after it. He did, then ate about six more. I think I'm gonna buy him some crickets next time, cause these worms are friggen tiny D8
But enough of my ranting
Both my mom and I love playing and spending time with our lizards, we have three full grown leopard geckos and a chinese water dragon already, they each get a couple hours out of the cage every day. When we got the two youngest geckos, they were easy going and after about a week, they quickly got used to being handled.
Do I just need to let the new one get used to his home more, should I move the cage out where he can see the other lizards? I was kinda afraid of that cause I didn't wanna terrify the poor thing :T
